Be Beautiful Hair Extensions - "Turn your hair the full 360"

Care Instructions

Products
Always use good quality products, avoid products containing sulphur. Good quality does not mean expensive- look for conditioners and deep conditioners containing:
Amodimethicone
Dimethicone
Cyclopentasiloxane
Stearamidopropyl dimethylamine
Behenalkonium Chloride (Cetrimonium Chloride works well with this)

Your hair extensions do not benefit from the natural oils of your scalp, so add moisture to your hair extensions by using shampoos and conditioners that are for dry hair.

Using a deep conditioner once a week is recommended. I recommend coconut oil as a deep conditioner, just be careful to keep it away from your bonds.

Use a heat protection spray on your hair extensions if you are using a blow dryer or straighteners. If you are using straighteners, I recommend using GHDs.

Leave in conditioners, smoothing serums, and shine serums can all make your extensions look shiny and silky.

Use toning shampoo and conditioner at your discretion, as I cannot predict the effects of different toners on blonde extensions

The more conditioning products you use, the more beautiful your extensions will look. Using a supermarket conditioner and leave in conditioner, with the above ingredients, as well using coconut oil as a deep conditioner once a week, is the optimum way of making you hair beautiful, inexpensively

Washing
Wash the hair in one direction from top to bottom, avoiding circular scrubbing, scrunching or matting

Condition your hair only at the ends, below the keratin bonds.

Blot your hair with a towel, don't rub the hair dry, make sure to dry the roots thoroughly by blotting with your towel

Styling
When brushing your hair, start from the bottom and work your way to the top, hold the hair from the top so any strain is absorbed by your hand and not the extension bond. Vigorous brushing and yanking could pull out you own hair with the bond.

Blow dry your hair extensions, then straighten after applying a heat protection spray for a beautiful straight style. For special occasions then use your straighteners again to create loose curls. Alternatively, brush your extensions out from the plait you wear while sleeping for loose waves

When styling, do not apply any form of heat too close to your keratin bonds as it will weaken the bonds

Sleeping
Always go to bed with dry hair. A loose plait is also recommended. If you go to bed with your hair loose you will end up with tangles that will not only make your hair take much longer to style in the morning, but could also damage your hair extensions.

Swimming
Always wash your extension hair after swimming, as it will strip the moisture from your hair and make it prone to tangling. Do not braid your hair then swim in the sea, wear it loose or in a cap.

Colouring
In general, I do not recommend colouring your extensions, simply because why bother when you can install any colour you want in the first place?

However, some clients get their blonde hair extensions toned after installation. The hair extensions can also be coloured darker using normal hair dye. I would not recommend bleaching you hair extensions.

As I have not conducted tests of every type of hair dye over a long period on my hair extensions, I do not recommend any colouring, nor can I predict the effects of colouring or toning.
